PAINT:LAB offers art camps in Santa Monica for children aged 5-12, focusing on various mediums and techniques in a supportive studio environment. PAINT:LAB is a Santa Monica art studio where kids develop real, transferable artistic skills through a structured rotating daily curriculum. Each weekday has its own focus: Monday brings art history through studying masters like Frida Kahlo and Picasso; Tuesday covers animal anatomy and global landscapes; Wednesday explores mixed-media abstraction and surrealism using found materials; Thursday dives into drawing fundamentals including perspective, light, and shadow; and Friday opens into fantasy and abstract acrylic work driven by the students themselves. Instructors use step-by-step demonstrations to guide technique while leaving room for personal expression. Campers' finished pieces are exhibited at monthly student art shows, giving young artists a real public audience for their work.
