LA Opera Camp offers a two-week day program for students aged 9-17 to explore opera through singing, acting, and stagecraft, culminating in a final performance. LA Opera's Opera Camp is a two-week summer intensive at the iconic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, where young singers and performers work daily alongside LA Opera's professional teaching artists from the Connects program. Campers receive hands-on coaching in music, dramatic interpretation, and movement, building toward a fully staged opera production performed for family and friends on one of LA's most prestigious stages. No prior opera experience is required — just enthusiasm for singing and performing. The camp fosters a welcoming ensemble community where kids from diverse backgrounds build meaningful artistic connections and leave with both technical skills and real stage confidence. Highlights: Financial aid available.
